About Victory

Born as a strategic reuse initiative for a closed hospital, Victory Technology Center was conceived as a data center solution for Western New York’s second largest multi-hospital healthcare system, Catholic Health. In 2010, an expert consultant developed the historically-significant site into a facility meeting the healthcare system’s rising technology demands. The skilled team leveraged and retrofitted the existing hospital infrastructure and features in order to build the optimal data center. Industry best practicesand advanced technologies were utilized.. Designing to the TIA-942 and Uptime Institute Standards, the team constructed an advanced facility with the highest levels of availability, security, redundancy, diversity, and capacity,. To qualify their efforts, an independent Tier Level Assessment (TLA) was performed. All critical infrastructure components are rated even higher at Tier IV.

From a single cabinet in a shared colocation environment to a dedicated hard-walled suite, VTC works closely with its clients to ensure the best solution is implemented to meet their needs. Today, we provide our services to clients from various sectors including technology, healthcare, education, and more.

Tier-Level Assessment

In July of 2012, Panduit Professional Services collected detailed data about the current physical infrastructure in order to assess the facility’s conformance to industry standards and best practices, and its ability to fulfill the requirements for compliance as detailed in the TIA-942 standard. The key findings of the Tier Level Assessment are:

“The facility exceeds the TIA-942 requirements for a Tier III data center and actually meets the requirements for Tier IV in the areas of telecommunications, site selection, building construction, security monitoring, electrical distribution, grounding, systems monitoring, equipment maintenance, and HVAC systems. The facility meets the requirements for a Tier III data center in the areas of UPS capacity, UPS redundancy, generator sizing, generator fuel storage capacity, and computer room EPO system.”

SOC 2 Type II Certification

Victory Technology Center undergoes an annual SOC II Audit (formerly SAS 70 Report) to maintain its status as an AICPA Service Organization. The annual audit, based on the SSAE 18 attestation standard put forth by the Auditing Standards Board (ASB) of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), tests and reports on controls placed in operation relevant to security and availability. VTC’s most recent report was compliant, and is available upon request.
